Welcome to Calabasas

An upscale community amidst mountains and canyons

Calabasas has a rich history reflected in its architecture, which is primarily adobe-style. Calabasas borders the city of Los Angeles and Malibu and is primarily a premier residential community rather than an agricultural center. Calabasas' beautiful homes and marvelous scenery inspire many people to relocate there.

What to Love

Local Lifestyle

Calabasas has something to offer everyone, whether it's a shopping spree at The Commons or a hike through nature. Calabasas residents value their privacy and the sparser suburban lifestyle with larger lots and fewer people than in Los Angeles or even Santa Monica. This part of town is nearby the state parks, beaches, golf courses, and commercial districts. Locals here cherish their time outdoors, finding new dining options, and shopping trendy boutiques.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

People in Ventura County often visit this part of town to shop at The Commons at Calabasas, sit in the exquisite outdoor mall, and find the latest designer handbag or this season's must-have. Marmalade Cafe has everything from Korean-style BBQ to its signature chili and hand-crafted cocktails.

Malibu Canyon Bar & Grill is located in the ethereal Cambra Hotel and has a California-inspired menu, including sharable dishes, large plates, and platters with local ingredients.

Shibuya is named after a Japanese city and has authentic rolls, sashimi, and top-notch presentation. Another Japanese restaurant of note is Hanami Sushi, which serves typical platters and rolls as well as grilled dishes. When locals want to pick up some groceries, they often head to Erewhon since it has a tremendous collection of gourmet and organic food.

Things to Do

Calabasas is fortuitous in that this location is home to miles of national and state parks. Whenever you want to try something a little different, you can visit Lake Calabasas if they own lakefront property or attend an event open to the public.

North of the lake is the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center, where locals can play a quick set or sign their kids up for tennis lessons. For those looking to join an exclusive community, the Calabasas Country Club has an enthralling course with many twists and turns. Pet owners love Wild Walnut Park, a nice dog park on the south side of town. Additionally, people can treat their pets at the Calabasas Bark Park. The bark park even has dog-sized pools and pampering.
